Details are ok, but sometimes seem too forced.

The flaw one might easily miss, is that the Mercedes is supposed to be a 12 cylinder SL, yet is being referred to as an SL500.

There has never been a Mercedes SL500 with a V12.

Mercedes has always called their top of the line V8 models 500 or 550. V12 models get at least a 600 in their title. Meaning the car from the book, if it has a V12 should have been referred to as SL600 (S600 l, depending on the model the author had in mind, which is kind of unclear)
As a Mercedes enthusiast, I find this kind of inaccuracy very bothersome.
